Hasn’t he got a massive head!
Genuinely, this is the first thing people notice about Satch and it always makes us laugh. He's a mix of Labrador, Newfoundland and Bernese and his appetite also matches the size of his head! When we got Satch in 2021, we prepared ourselves for a big, slobbery eating machine.... and he has lived up to his breeds for sure!
Owning dogs all our life and having a passion for canine health and well-being, we already knew about the hazards of rawhide and the quantities of unrecognisable ingredients in processed treats. 4% meat in a treat, never filled me with confidence that he was having a sustainable and balanced diet on a daily basis so we've always sourced our own.
Providing him with natural treats and enrichment has a positive effect in Satch’s coat, trainability and overall condition. We shared our benefits of natural treats and soon family and friends were wanting regular orders of our 'selection boxes', which provide a great mix of flavours and textures. By early 2022, Satch's Snacks became an official brand!
Fast forward to 2024 and we now deliver tailor made natural treat boxes right across the UK, attend huge outdoor events, support local charities where we can and have a team of over 50 Ambassadogs across the UK. We also have a members only Facebook Group, which we'd love you to join.
Oh.... and another update.... In June 2023 we rescued beautiful Willow. She is also now responsible for quality control alongside Satch. So, you can be sure that your orders are '5 Paw certified' before they are shipped to you.
